Cambridge Curriculum

Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School offers both Primary and Secondary Cambridge International Examination Programmes. Each programme’s curriculum delivers a broad, balanced, coherent and consistent platform of learning with clear and smooth progression routes designed for the needs of all learners.

At Beaconhouse, assessment is an integral component of each subject’s curriculum. Cambridge International Examinations provide a standard testing structure. Our assessment includes Cambridge Progression Tests, Cambridge Progress Checker and Cambridge Checkpoints. These assessments also enable us to:

  • Identify learner strengths and weaknesses of individuals and class groups
  • Develop further teaching and learning support using diagnostic feedback
  • Provide learners with a statement of achievement for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint at the end of their Primary Curriculum.
  • Students will also receive a statement of achievement for Cambridge Secondary 1 Checkpoint at the end of Year 9

Cambridge IGCSE: A two year programme (Year 10 & 11) Assessment takes place at the end of the course. There are range of assessment options, including written, oral, coursework and practical. Grades are benchmark using eight internationally recognized tiers with clear guidelines to explain the level of achievement.

Cambridge assessments inform schools and learners of the depth of understanding and acquisition of specified subject skills. Assessment of specific and transparent educational standards enable the benchmarking of learner achievement on a school, National and International scale.

Richard Lukats - Principal

As Principal of Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to a school that cares about children, their development and their future.

Sri Inai has a rich history as a school delivering a quality educational experience for families living in, and around the Petaling Jaya area of Selangor/Kuala Lumpur. We are about to enter a very exciting period of development as an International School, with a major enhancement of our facilities (Swimming Pool and Sports Hall) planned for 2016. These new facilities will give our students further opportunities to excel and participate in a wider range of activities during the school day and in our extensive extra-curricular programme.

We offer a curriculum which is based on the National Curriculum for England, Cambridge International Curriculum and Cambridge International Examinations (Checkpoint & IGCSE). The curriculum is designed and delivered in a way to ensure students can have an appreciation and impact within Malaysia and the Global Community.

The School sets high expectations and standards for our students in our academic, sporting and cultural activities; equally important to us is the development of each student’s character. The development of personal qualities, such as self-esteem, resilience, empathy, compassion and leadership. When we add to these qualities our belief in developing a mindset in our students of independent, critical and creative thinking, we ensure our students will have an impact on  the  future whether it is here in Malaysia or in the wider Global Community.

We believe that children excel when parents/guardians, teachers and students work together in partnership. We therefore welcome and encourage all parents/guardians to get fully involved in school life, take an active interest in their child’s/ward’s learning and give their feedback to the school on a regular basis. By doing this we will together ensure Beaconhouse Sri Inai Students will have the best nurturing environment to achieve success.

I look forward to welcoming you and your child/ward personally to the “Beaconhouse Family” and invite you to look through our school brochure, explore our website and visit our school, where you can  talk to our students, teachers or to me, and then to enquire about a place for your child/ward to join us.
