As Head of Primary at Beaconhouse Malaysia, Arunima oversees key academic and administrative decisions of the school and aims to catapult the institution towards greater heights. Ushering her way with over 10 years of extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development and classroom management, Arunima’s leadership skills are grounded in authenticity as well as sound industry exposure.
Prior to joining Beaconhouse, Arunima has held multiple positions across multiple notable International Schools in Malaysia, with her most recent stint being the Head of School at Valley International School till April 2022(affiliated with TIPS India and Globe Educate Spain). During her tenure at the startup conglomerate, Arunima spearheaded crucial academic, administrative and strategic decisions within the school while also immersing herself in teaching Global Perspective to the students.
Prior to Valley International School, she has also served as the Year Coordinator at elc International School, whilst expanding her academic depth in teaching History and Geography. The 4-year experience at elc International (2015-2019) paved her path in establishing a steady hold of the Cambridge (CAIE) curriculum and navigating diverse student bodies.
Arunima’s role prior to elc International School was at Global Indian International School as their cross divisional Head of Department for English and Social Sciences for the primary wing.
Arunima holds a BA and MA in Political Science from Calcutta University as well as a B. Ed. from the same institution. Throughout her learning journey, she has consistently excelled academically and describes herself to be a “lifelong learner at the school of life”.
Outside work, Arunima’s other interests include music, reading and learning about international cultures.
