BEACONHOUSE PRESCHOOL PUCHONG
Beaconhouse Puchong is located in Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor. The school opening was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia on 16 September, 2007. The facility itself was custom built for kindergarten needs and it includes an indoor swimming pool. A Primary School with the KSSR national curriculum
Beaconhouse incorporates the KSSR national curriculum into its teachings. The KSSR curriculum is a component of the new blueprint of education in Malaysia preparing students for the needs of the 21st century. The KSSR remains committed to developing students holistically and charting student cognitive performances against international standards. Beaconhouse blends its vast international world-wide experience in pedagogy of teaching with the principles and objectives of the national blueprint of education , with the intention of developing students who have the capability of furthering their education in any other global system of education. Although Bahasa Malaysia is used in all KSSR core subjects , there is very high and proficient standard of English developed and inculcated in students from primary 1 until they complete their secondary English in Form 5. Although all KSSR subjects are taught in Bahasa Malaysia , the English curriculum implemented in Beaconhouse follows the Cambridge O level standards. As further enhancement to the curriculum , the subjectsScience , Mathematics and Information technology are taught in English with support textbook Primary 6 students sit for the UPSR examinations. All activities in the primary school are conducted in both Bahasa Malaysia and English to enable students to have bi-lingual proficiency. Mandarin is compulsory and taught as a third language.
The KSSM curriculum optimized
Beaconhouse School Systems being a world-wide provider of education has incorporated the National Secondary Educational curriculum into local Beaconhouse schools to address the needs of the academia of Malaysian students, and to accomplish and meet the challenges of a rapidly globalizing world. The new KSSM (Secondary School Curriculum ) prepares students in the secondary school from Form 1 till Form 5.After completing 3 years in secondary school , in Form 3 , students have to completethe PBS (School Based Assessments)and PT3 examinations. In Upper secondary , in Form 4 and Form 5 , students are given the option to take different subject disciplines related to the Pure Sciences, Commerceand Business subjects or Humanities based subjects. Students sit for the SPM ( Malaysian Certificate of Education) exams at end of Form 5. The PT3 and SPM (equivalent of Cambridge OLevel ), are public examinations conducted by the Malaysian Examination Syndicate. Although the medium of instruction is primarily in Bahasa Malaysia, English is taught using the 1119 Cambridge O Level Curriculum. All non-KSSM subjects and school based activities are conducted in the English language. Although Science and Maths is part of the KSSM , additional periods will be allotted for these 2 subjects to be taught in English using textbooks from Cambridge endorsed publishers.
BEACONHOUSE SRI LETHIA NATIONAL SCHOOL
Beaconhouse Sri Lethia, Klang, Selangor is a five-storey building located in a serene and conducive environment ideal for educational pursuit. We provide Primary and Secondary school education where we prepare students for UPSR (Primary 6), PT3 (Secondary 3) and SPM (Secondary 5) Public examinations.
Sri Lethia was established to provide within the framework of the National Educational Policy, an all-round education for children in Klang and its surrounding areas. Its aim is to develop the pupils in a context of a multi-ethnic society, their individual characters, creativity and leadership qualities.
To achieve these objectives, the school has implemented certain special features that is longer school hours (8.00 am – 3.30 pm for Senior students, 8.00 am – 3.10 pm for Junior students), small class enrolment to ensure maximum individual attention and attainment of a strong foundation in the English and the National Language.
There is compulsory ICT curriculum designed for each level and an opportunity to learn a third language.
